In her new book “Down the Drain,” actress Julia Fox shares her intense but brief relationship with Kanye West in early 2022. She describes it as a tumultuous experience where West seemed to play a controlling and unsettling game.

Julia met West, whom she refers to as “the artist,” after a friend offered to give him her number. The initial contact led to a barrage of phone calls and text messages.

Despite a recent breakup with her ex-husband, Julia spent hours chatting with West, although their conversations were mostly one-sided, with him dominating the discussions. West occasionally acknowledged her input and praised her ideas.

West invited Julia to spend New Year’s Eve in Miami, even chartering a private jet for her and her friends. They finally met in person at a club, where they shared a passionate hug and kiss. Their night continued at a party at a famous rapper’s house on Star Island.

The next day, they had dinner at a restaurant in Miami, and West asked Julia to be his girlfriend, with a photographer capturing the moment. He also talked about hiring stylists for her and eventually agreed to bring her friends Tammy and Liana into the mix.

Julia later discovered that photos from their dinner had been leaked to the media, leaving her feeling uneasy about West’s intentions.
