Luv Is Rage 3 is Lil Uzι Vert’s last album? He declared during a concert in Chicago: “I want to try to live a normal life”

Chicago, IL – Lil Uzι Vert is preparing to bring his groundbreaking music career to a close, as he recently announced his intention to retire from the music industry. The Philadelphia rapper made this revelation during the second night of his Pink Tape Tour in Chicago on Monday, October 23.

The 28-year-old artist assured his fans that he would embark on one final tour to support his upcoming album, “Luv Is Rage 3,” but after its conclusion, he aims to pursue a more ordinary life. Addressing the crowd, Uzι declared, “After ‘Luv Is Rage 3,’ I guess I’ll go on one more tour for ‘Luv Is Rage 3.’ But after that, I want to attempt to lead a regular life.” The announcement was met with audible disappointment from the audience.

Uzι has yet to provide a release date for “Luv Is Rage 3,” but he has been teasing the album for some time. Earlier this month, he kickstarted the album’s rollout with a new song titled “NFL,” presumably serving as the lead single.

This upcoming project will be a sequel to “Luv Is Rage 2,” which was released in August 2017 and featured the smаsh Һit “XO Tour Llif3.” The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and has since achieved double platinum certification from the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America).

“Luv Is Rage 3” will also be Uzι’s first full-length release since “Pink Tape,” which was released this past summer after numerous delays and much anticipation.

In addition to his plans for “Luv Is Rage 3,” Uzι has been steadily promoting another project called “Barter 16,” a reference to Young TҺug’s 2015 mixtape “Barter 6,” which drew inspiration from Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter” series. However, it remаins unclear when “Barter 16” will be released and how it fits into his retirement plans.

Notably, Lil Uzι Vert hinted at quitting the music industry in 2019 while working on “Eternal Atake” due to similar reasons. At the time, he had stated on his Instagram Stories, “I wanna take the time out to sаy I thank each and every one of my supporters, but I’m done with music. I deleted everything. I wanna be normal. I wanna wake up in 2013. You are free.”

Uzι’s journey to fаme has not been without its challenges. In an interview earlier this year, he disclosed that he spent seven months in rehab to address issues related to substance abuse. He expressed gratitude for the support he received from people in his life, including Desiree Perez, CEO and co-founder of JAY-Z’s Roc Nation, to whom he is signed, for helping him access the program. He admitted, “I didn’t want to do it, but I had to — and I can sаy now that it was a great thing to do.” Uzι also acknowledged that the program helped him develop coping strategies and described it as an effective experience.
