Tyrese continued to criticize his “heartless” ex-wife after calling her a “gold digger” following the divorce

Tyrese has swiftly responded to recent statements made by his ex-wife about their tumultuous breakup, refuting her claims of being manipulated and pushed into making a wrong decision.

In a recent interview with Hardly Initiated, Samantha Lee opened up about her highly publicized divorce from Tyrese and expressed regret about how things transpired. She admitted, “I was not in the right frame of mind to make that decision. I was emotionally overwhelmed. Our emotions can cloud our judgment, and I’m someone who is very emotionally driven.” Lee also mentioned that she wouldn’t advise anyone to make a life-altering decision when they are emotionally distraught, and she hinted at not having the right support.

In response to these comments, Tyrese took to Instagram Live after learning of her statements, expressing his disbelief in everything she said regarding their marriage. He emphasized the challenging upbringing they both had as children of divorced parents, growing up in tumultuous family dynamics. He criticized her actions, especially packing up their child, obscuring Ring cameras with a CоVID mask, and heading home while he was on his way to figҺt for their marriage and family. He accused her of being heartless and suggested that her motivations were financially driven. He also disputed the notion that there were people influencing her decisions other than her mother, Patricia Randolph.

Tyrese continued by suggesting that her pursuit of $20,000 per month in child support for their 5-year-old daughter was evidence of her financial motivations, pointing out that she earns $160,000 annually on her own.

Tyrese and Lee separated in 2020, and the court ordered him to pay her $20,000 per month in child support. This substantial sum led to speculation that she married him for his wealth, a belief Tyrese himself shared. In September, Lee denied these claims on her Instagram Live, asserting that she had her own income and had married him for love, despite certain issues in their relationship.

Sharing her video on his now-deleted Instagram post, Tyrese expressed his disbelief, writing, “I have NO IDEA who this person is… #Gaslighting is the most despicable form of manipulation. She’s trying to convince people of something nobody believes.” He went on to characterize her as a “gold digger, gaslighter, narcissist, and manipulator.”

He concluded with a scathing comment, saying, “For someone who claims not to want money from me, you’ve already retained THREE different law firms, attempting to challenge the prenuptial agreement, dragging this divorce trial out for nearly three years, and now you’re requesting a new trial with a jury.”
