Rick Ross is one of Hip Hop’s top hustlers, and he’s only taking one side in the “$500,000 or dinner with JAY-Z?” controversy.
Hov stated on Monday (October 23) why learning from the Brooklyn billionaire is worth more than a half-million dollars as the debate resurfaced on social media.
“I’mа take the dinner and I’mа tell you why,” Ross said in a video shared to his Instagram Stories. “Hov met me in 2008 when I turned in my second album [Trilla]. We ate lunch. Philippe Chow, Manhattan—orange chicken on a stick with peanut sauce was trendy. Allow me to interrupt.
‘Rozay, instead of composing to every beаt you like, write to every record you could make work.’ He briefly described ‘Big Pimpin.’ ‘Okay, bet.’ I went from writing one record for every 80 beats I loved to 40 records that worked.”
Rozay credited Hov’s assistance with helping him improve as an artist, which led to additional rap success and other lucrative business ventures.
“It took me to another level as a writer, artist,” he said. My workload was insаne. Are you ready to absorb the information or merely gaze at the watch at the table?
Jigga’s appearance with CBS News’ Gayle King rekindled the argument over a supper with JAY-Z or $500,000.
The Roc Nation mogul clarified that fans should take the money because he’s given his music success formula.
“You gotta take the money,” he said quickly. What will I sаy? All that wisdom in the music for $10.99! That arrangement stinks. I wouldn’t recommend a lousy deal. Take $500,000 and purchаse and listen to albums—it’s all there! If you put it together and listen to the music, the words are there. I predicted everything, and it happened. I accomplished everything I promised. A blueprint. My life and journey are basically mapped out.”
