Lil Nas X is about to give birth to his debut album, Montero. In celebration, the 22-year-old musician did an over-the-top pregnancy shoot, complete with a bump and flower crown.

The idea came to Lil Nas X after he listened to Megan Thee Stallion’s verse on his new song “Dolla Sign Slime.” He was so impressed with her verse that he immediately called his stylist and said, “I want to do a pregnancy shoot for my album.”

At first, it was just a joke, but the more Lil Nas X thought about it, the more he realized it was the perfect way to represent his new music. “I’ve changed in so many ways,” he says. “I’ve learned to let people’s comments roll off my back and to have full faith in myself.”

Montero is a culmination of Lil Nas X’s journey as an artist and a person. It’s an album that is both personal and catchy, with songs that tell stories about his past, his present, and his future.

Lil Nas X collaborated with some of the biggest names in music on Montero, including Elton John, Miley Cyrus, and Doja Cat. He also teamed up with Megan Thee Stallion on the album’s lead single, “Industry Baby.”
