In the 2024 presidential contest, Ye, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, claims he requested former President Dоnald Trump to be his running mate.  

“Rain and traffic for the first time at Mar-a-Lago,” Ye tweeted late on Tuesday. “It’s unbelievable that I kept President Trump waiting while wearing jeans.” Whoa! When I invited him to be my running mate in 2024, what do you suppose his response was?”

At the bottom of the post, West included a poll asking Twitter followers to choose how they felt Trump responded to his proposal:

“That’s very Ye,” he said, alluded to his new moniker. The alternate choice said, “That’s very Nay.”

Prior to Ye’s antisemitic rants, Trump lauded the musician, stating, “all those great things about me on Tucker Carlson.” Regarding the rapper and fashion designer’s recent antisemitic remarks, Trump has not denounced him.
