Lil Wayne’s 18-carat gold necklace helps pаy for college tuition for pоог students

After a friend of the American rapper purchased it as a birthday present, an art student who created a gold pendant for Lil Wayne said it assisted in covering her tuition costs.

Joy Bonfield-Colombara, often known as Joy BC, admitted to the BBC that she first had trouble affording her £9,500 annual tuition at the Royal College of Art in London.

The 29-year-old said she was thinking about quitting until she got an email from someone asking for a pendant to gift to the Lollipop singer on her 36th birthday.

“I was about to sаy, ‘No, I’m actually trying to work out some things related to school.'” They then identified the acquaintance and stated, “It’s for my friend’s birthday,” “said the woman.

“I grew up listening to hip hop music. In the club, I used to listen to him.”

The pendant was meticulously carved by Ms. Bonfield-Colombara to resemble Lil Wayne, complete with the rapper’s renowned teardrop tattoos. The painting is titled “An Icon” by her.

She disclosed that her partner had urged her not to “do a Ronaldo” with the 18-carat gold pendant. This alludes to the notorious bronze bust of the football player that was widely ridiculed for bearing little similarity to the real player.

A “chunk” of the £10,000 Ms. Bonfield-Colombara required to pay for her next semester’s tuition was covered by the necklace’s cost.
