Outside the GQ Men of the Year party (which celebrated 2024’s honorees Kim Kardashian, Jacob Elordi, Travis Scott, and Tom Ford), there was a larger-than-life red carpet. Inside the annual event, hosted at Chateau Marmont’s storied Bar Marmont, even the most notable of guests had their photos snapped upon entry (this would be a phone-free affair) before dispersing to the bar, the main dance floor, or the cozy nook of a room off to the side. It was a very LA iteration of the celebration—the night prior, British GQ hosted their Men of the Year fete which honored Jeremy Allen White at London’s Royal Opera House. But on the West Coast, rather than an imposing seated venue, the welcoming lounge allowed the likes of Olivia Rodrigo to bump shoulders with Seth Rogan, and Seth Rogan to bump shoulders with Evan Mock, and so on.
