Travis Scott Got His Own ‘Astroworld Day’ in Houston

Travis Scott, a native of Houston, was given a special day.

The hip-hop artist was basking in the positive energy after the mayor of the Texas city, Sylvester Turner, declared November 18 to be “Astroworld Day,” while many of us were lounging back and enjoying the last bit of the weekend.

During his Sunday visit to City Hall, Scott encouraged schoolchildren to “start working on your future.”

Trav has had an incredible few months. On Saturday, NRG Park hosted the Astroworld Festival, which included Post Malone, Lil Wayne, Young Thug, Rae Sremmurd, and him. When Astroworld debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 list in August, the rapper scored his first No. 1.
