Fans of Lady Gaga accuse Coldplay of stealing from her “Chromatica” period while the group is promoting their new song, “Higher Power.”

Coldplay is preparing to launch a new era of music and Lady Gaga fans say they are experiencing a sense of deja vu.

The Grammy Award-winning band recently announced that their new single, “Higher Power,” will be released on Friday.

“Higher Power is the song that appeared on mini keyboards and bathroom sinks in early 2020,” the band wrote on Twitter. “It was produced by Max Martin, a true wonder of the universe.”

The cover art is a circle of neon pink icons, seemingly letters in a made-up language, set against a black and blue ombré background. For this launch, Coldplay adopted pink, purple, and blue colors to match the otherworldly galaxy theme.

A tweet promoting the single read “SIGNAL SIGNAL. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ESTABLISHED.” On another occasion, the band mentioned “our friends in Kaotica.”

Coldplay’s Twitter name has also been changed to “Kaotica”, which some fans believe will be the name of their upcoming album.

Some of the band’s new merchandise features pink and blue orbs, suggesting that “Kaotica” is the name of an imaginary planet. Online Gaga fans have taken notice of the band’s new artistic direction.

The singer’s 2020 album Chromatica also mainly uses pink, purple and blue tones in promotional materials.

The album’s symbol is a circle with a sine wave inside, and the title refers to a kind of inner planet that Gaga said she created to escape trauma.

“It’s right here. It sounds silly, but I’m up there – I’m not on another planet. If you watch and listen to ‘Chromatica’ and you want to live there too, you’re invited. But I want to please made it clear that it wasn’t a fantasy,” she told Paper magazine, explaining that she “erased Earth” and “replaced it with ‘Chromatica'” in her mind.
