Fans of Coldplay in Kuala Lumpur are in for a treat, as events provider Live Nation Malaysia has officially verified the rumors that they would be visiting the city for the Malaysian leg of their Music of the Spheres World Tour in 2023.

The British hitmakers, who made their announcement earlier today on the company’s official Instagram account, are anticipated to set foot on local soil on November 22, 2023.

The fact that their next show will mark their first-ever in-person encounter with local fans makes this even more meaningful. The band is set to sell out tickets for National Stadium Bukit Jalil, where seats will be filled to capacity.

A video that local event and artist manager Iman Tang posted online showed an advertisement for Coldplay’s world tour playing on a screen directly over the Pavilion KL crossing, sparking first rumors about the band’s performance in Malaysia.

Iman Tang commented the video with, “Finally the rumors are over!,” even though Malaysia was not directly mentioned in the promo. Guys, get ready for November 2023! Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia ,” suggesting that the group will indeed play there.

A follow-up post on Coldplay’s official Instagram confirmed the band’s performance in Kuala Lumpur in addition to appearances in Tokyo, Kaohsiung, Jakarta, and Perth.

When will the tickets be available?

If you’re wondering how to get tickets, LiveNation has revealed that on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:59 PM, there will be a special presale for CIMB bank cards only.

Conversely, general ticket sales will start the next day, on May 17, 2023, at 10:00 AM. But as of right now, the event organizers are still keeping the costs and levels a secret.
