Imagine Dragons and Coldplay have been dubbed “the worst genre” by a Twitter/X user in a post that has gone viral, although many fans disagree.

Coldplay has been referred to as “one of the very worst things to have happened to popular music” for almost 20 years. Success albums and chart-topping singles were unable to change the opinions of many.

Imagine Dragons, who have their own group of vociferous critics, are comparable in this regard. As they say, music is subjective, so maybe neither band is deserving of this kind of abuse.

Fans of Imagine and Coldplay defend bands following a viral post.

Joe wrote, “The worst genre is Levitating.” They then proceeded to drag some of the biggest bands in America by attaching screenshots of different performers, such as Imagine Dragons and Coldplay.

Hardcore fans of Imagine Dragons and Coldplay didn’t like this vicious critique and resorted to social media to vent their resentment.

One devoted fan account pleaded, “Imagine sneaking Coldplay in when they have a 10 minute banger that is universally loved.”

One of the fans remarked that it was “disrespectful” to place them in the “same category as the others.” “Just say you guys only listen to the hits on the radio.”
