Fearing more legal action over a “slanderous” comment made by Coldplay, Fahmi

Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil finds himself entangled in a web of misconstrued comments, leading to a series of potential lawsuits against those who have allegedly distorted his words regarding the recent Coldplay concert in Kuala Lumpur. Following the conclusion of the PKR 17th annual congress in Putrajaya, Fahmi addressed reporters, expressing his frustration over the misrepresentation of his statements.

The controversy stems from comments made in response to a journalist from the Malay daily, Berita Harian, during which Fahmi shared his thoughts on the success of the Coldplay concert. Regrettably, these remarks were taken out of context, circulated online, and led to a distorted narrative.

In response to this misrepresentation, Fahmi Fadzil is determined to take legal action against individuals responsible for twisting his words. The threat of lawsuits underscores the minister’s commitment to clarifying his original intentions and ensuring that his statements are not misconstrued, emphasizing the importance of accurate reporting and responsible dissemination of information in the digital age.
