Rapper Travis Scott temporarily paused his career to counsel couples at his Miami event.
La Flame saw a couple arguing in the crowd at the MIA on November 27 during his Circus Maximus tour. Travis, seeming inspired to help, turned the stage lights onto the duo and forced them hug, though one was initially hesitant.
I saw you bickering. Put them in the spotlight, he said. I see you bickering tonight. It’s okay—security, backup. This is love. They need love today. You’ll have a great time today.”
He said, “So hurry up and give her a big hug. Stand up. Now hug him if you love him! You must hug him! There we go!”
Travis Scott interacts with the crowd constantly on the Circus Maximus tour. Last week, a fan sprinting across the intricate stage setup at the Austin stop of the trek appeared ready to fury.
Travis initially grabs him by the shirt collar and appears to chase him away. However, Cactus Jack brushes them off and rages with the ecstatic fan when security arrives. The shirtless boy dived into the crowd to end his theatrical performance.
After witnessing the clip, Jermaine Dupri stated his concerns regarding Travis Scott and the fan’s safety.
“I just saw a kid jump onstage with Travis [mind blown emoji],” he tweeted. “Do you realize how dangerous that is? Like! How is security enabling this? Once they meet him, they want to rough him up—too late, SMH.”
