”Greatest dad” is a new title that Drake is adding to his collection of accolades.
Sunday on Barstool Sports, the five-year-old shared with host Caleb Pressley his impressions of his rapper father at home in a joint interview with his son Adonis.
Adonis remarked, “That’s a funny dad,” adding that “he does a lot of funny jokes.”
Starting with drаmаtic background music and mockumentary-style film, the “Sundae with Drake” interview had Adonis being questioned by the comedian about getting into fights and being nasty or friendly to other kids.
“Did you ever puncҺ anybody in the nuts?” pressed Pressley. “No, never,” Adonis shot back, bursting into giggles. That’s humorous, he continued.
Pressley questioned the five-time Grammy winner later in the interview about whether Adonis ever attempts to get in between his dad’s girlfriends in order to avoid having to “split his inheritance” with any other brothers. (Drake is worth $300,000 just for his “Paul Newman” Daytona Rolex from Menta Watches).
Pressley made fun of Drake’s opulent lifestyle, “No, not really,” he laughed, acknowledging that he needed to give it some thought. As he became more serious, he said that his son “always tells me how great I am as a father, as a single father” and “is always vibing out with me.”
“If the most beautiful girls in the world are here in Toronto?” was another question posed to the musician, who was born here. — to which he gladly consented. “I think so,” he remarked.
“How’d you get them here from Miami, you flew them on your plane?” Pressley shot back, looking deadpan, which made Drake chuckle even more. After more questioning, he said, “That’s a valid point,” because his private plane has four bedrooms.
But, Drake emphasized afterward, being an involved father comes first in his opinion.
Pressley inquired as to his favorite wager when the topic of gambling came up. The Toronto Raptors superfan said, “Fatherhood,” without thinking twice.
The rapper posted a cute video of himself and Adonis having a good time on Instagram last year. The father-son pair in the video exchanged views over their respective heights before Drake’s child demonstrated his fluency in French.
When Adonis questioned Drake at the beginning of the video if he was “going to be much bigger than me,” the “One Dance” singer said, “I don’t think so, you’re pretty tall.”
Drake then asked his son if he thought he would one day be even more renowned than his famous father. Indeed! I’m going to be kind of elderly,” Adonis answered.
In another scene, Adonis, whose mother is French, asks Drake if he would want to teach him how to communicate “en français.” Drake said, “Yes, please,” and Adonis started speaking in French, his father repeating everything back to him.
Drake asked Adonis what he said at the conclusion of the phrase, and the tiny man replied, “I said, ‘When you’re older, you’re all broken, and you’re gonna turn back into space.’”
But Drake doubted his son’s interpretation. “Is that really what you said or are you just making stuff up?” inquired the man. Regarding whether or not he had thrown a string of sentences together, a laughing and shy Adonis said nothing. Drake said, “You’re a funny guy,” to him.
