Rapper, musician, and actor Drake is getting ready to launch a unique theme park featuring an exclusive experience. The theme park will soon welcome visitors.
Drake Over the Years
Drake is a Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, and businessman whose full nаme is Aubrey Drake Graham. In the early 2000s, he rose to recognition as an actor in the teen drаmа television series “Degrassi: The Next Generation.” He eventually made the switch to a career in music, though.
Drake is well-known for having a great musical career, having released several popular singles and albums. He’s become well-known for his ability to effortlessly fuse many musical genres, such as pop, R&B, and hip-hop. “Thank Me Later,” “Take Care,” “Nothing Was the Same,” and “Scorpion” are a few of his well-known albums.
Drake is regarded as one of the most significant and financially successful musicians in the music business. He has received multiple honors, including Grammy Awards. Drake appears to be moving his focus to theme parks, the opposite side of the entertainment industry, after taking over the song charts.
New Theme Park Experience Coming Soon
After buying an outdated theme park in Dallas, Texas, Drake moved it to Los Angeles with the intention of creating a theme park unlike anything you’ve ever seen, with attractions that defy expectations. The Hollywood rapper is reportedly preparing to build a new theme park in 2024 and run it through the spring, with rides that are more like artwork than real ride-on activities, according to a recent article from the L.A. Times.
The attractions are actual works of art that were formerly part of the Luna Luna amusement park, which had rides designed by renowned and recognizable modern painters like David Hockney, who built an enchanted forest. The renowned Jean-Michel Basquiat imagined and created a Ferris wheel.
Keith Haring was another renowned modern artist who produced a piece of art in this former “Luna Luna” theme park. He brought his designs to life as toy blocks on a carousel. However, these works of art have lain dormant for years, and in 2024 Drake will bring them all back to life.
Together, these new attractions will create an indoor theme park gallery. DreamCrew, Drake’s entertainment company, and the artist themselves will provide several months of project support through 2024. The “Luna Luna: Forgotten Fantasy” exhibition will take place in a Los Angeles warehouse close to the city’s central business district.
Given that Los Angeles was the original location of the first Disney Resort, Disneyland, which debuted in 1955, the park’s establishment there makes sense. Numerous other theme parks have since made an attempt to open in close proximity to this dominant amusement park. However, only a select few—like Universal Studios Hollywood—have succeeded.
