Lil Wayne spoke candidly about sports, his legendary career, and a host of other topics during his guest on Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson’s podcast, “All The Smoke,” last Thursday, June 8. The conversation once shifted to Nicki Minaj, a former member of Young Money who is now a legendary rapper in her own right. Weezy was quite explicit about his artist when questioned about her standing as a female hip-hop musician. Wayne said, “I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings, but, boy, ain’t nobody f**kin’ wit’ Nicki.” “They follow after.”
Wayne’s remarks prompted Minaj to respond on Instagram earlier today, June 12. “If you can find a lie, I’ll give you a dollar,” she exclaimed. “When the greatest rapper in history thought highly of you and continues to do so. I really did rely on your assurance, and you were there at all times. “Up until now, every time I send you something, you reply with a verse. We really do adore you, [Lil Wayne]. We sincerely appreciate it. Let the BAR continue to exist! Bar for the Bar. Not to be ironic.
During the “All The Smoke” interview, Wayne talked about how he got to know the “Truffle Butter” star in another segment.
He remarked, “At the time, we were looking for artists and we set out to look for artists I wаnted to meet.” “I desired a woman from New York. Do not sound like Foxy [Brown] and do not sound like [Lil’] Kim were the two things I wаnted to make sure she had. And Nicki sounded just like me when I heard. I thought, “Okay, I haven’t seen this before,” as she began to alter the tone of her voice. This is uncommon. I had to constantly remind the other female artists in New York, “Yo, don’t do that, don’t sаy that.” Is [Nicki] prepared to discuss this strange stuff? You’re flawless.
