It appears that Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy Now is starting to pick up steam after Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 was released.
Cardi’s five-year-old project was a historic release; it achieved enormous success and remained on the charts for years on end. The album re-entered the iTunes Hip-Hop/Rap list in the United States on Friday, December 8, and climbed to No. 2, right behind Nicki’s most recent release.
Since the iTunes chart is a compilation of songs and albums that have been purchased through iTunes, the new statistics do not account for streaming volume on Apple’s own platform.
As of this writing, several Eminem albums, Dr. Dre’s The Chronic, 50 Cent’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’, and three earlier Nicki Minaj albums are among the other catalog releases that are listed on the chart.
It appeared as though Invasion of Privacy had returned to the iTunes list at number five, but it didn’t take long for it to take the top place.
It remains to be seen if Cardi’s debut album will return to the Billboard 200 album chart as a result of the iTunes surge.
Apart from the increasing interest in her record, Cardi has been in the news lately due to possible problems in her marriage.
She and her spouse, Offset, a former member of Migos, created speculation on Monday, December 4, when they both made ambiguous remarks about relationships on the internet without mentioning one another specifically.
“You know when you just grow out of relationships,” Cardi B remarked on her Instagram Stories. “I’m tired of protecting people’s feelings,” she continued. I HAVE to put my needs first!
Additionally, Offset shared a video on Instagram from the movie Scarface, in which Tony Montana exclaims, “Hey, fuck you, man! Who assembled this? Me. That person is it. In whom do I have faith? Me.
In addition, fans have noted that Cardi and Offset have stopped following one another on Instagram, which adds credence to rumors that their marriage is failing.
Drama has entered the couple’s relationship on previous occasions in recent months. Earlier this year, Offset accused his wife of adultery.
The former Migos rapper wrote, “My wife fucked an n-gga on me gang ya’ll n-ggas know how I come,” in an Instagram post that has since been removed.
In a video posted to the internet, Cardi B quickly refuted the accusations while singing Keyshia Cole’s song “I Should Have Cheated.”
“Don’t pay attention to the country man, y’all,” she continued. That Spaces from a few days ago? That motherfucker is going crazy. Please, hurry up. Cardi B, n-gga, is who I am. Motherfuckers may occasionally forget that my name is Cardi B.
This pussy would be out if I gave it to anyone. No normal, degular, schmegular, can fuck me! Because they will inform everyone. I also can’t fuck anyone in the industry because they’ll find out too! So, please, young man. Give up your foolish behavior!
