Apparently, Gucci Mane isn’t the only person vying to sign Lil Pump. Hip-hop mogul DJ Khaled appears to have entered the race as well, as he posted a series of images on Instagram with himself and Lil Pump in a meeting, suggesting that he may be close to signing the up-and-coming rapper to his label while Pump revels in the success of his breakthrough single “Gucci Gang.”
“GREAT TALK! CURRENTLY IN THE CONFERENCE!!!! I CALLED MY ATTORNEY THAT THIS IS URGENTS! “Let’s close this deal,” he said as the caption for a picture of Pump and him. The pictures that follow feature Pump, Khaled, and Pump’s group at what looks to be the head honcho of We The Best’s Miami residence for a meeting.
Pump was a minor when he signed the Warner Bros. contract, according to reports that surfaced earlier this month. As a result, the contract was void. Gucci Mane grabbed the chance and expressed interest in the rapper straight in the Instagram comment section. Gucci wrote, “1017 you name the price,” in an apparent attempt to lure Pump to appear on his 1017 Eskimo Records.
Pump, whose hit song “Gucci Gang” has over 400 million views on YouTube and climbed to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, would be a welcome addition to any team.
