According to recent court documents, Jeannie Mai is disputing Jeezy’s allegatiоn that she is keeping their daughter hidden from him during their divorce and is only attempting to keep the child safe.
In her most recent filing, which TMZ was able to access, the talk show host refutes Jeezy’s claim that she is preventing him from spending time with their 1-year-old son Monaco. Jeezy had requested a hearing to determine a temporary custody schedule in their ongoing divorce case.
Additionally, Jeannie claims that she has been more than willing to comply with Jeezy’s requests for time spent with their daughter, providing him with all of the dates he has requested as well as an extended period of time over the Christmas break.
Although Jeannie states that safety is her first concern and that she fully wants Jeezy to be part in their daughter’s life, she also asserts in these documents that it is acceptable for her to be concerned about safety.
The attorneys for Jeannie write: “It is essential to clarify that Ms. Jenkins’ insistence on reasonable safety measures being put in place, such as safely securing and locking away all firearms that have been unsecured in the past, as well as having familiarity and properly trained caregivers is absolutely not gatekeeping, but rather a responsible effort to prioritize their daughter’s well-being.”
According to her legal team, “T
hese requests are grounded in Ms. Jenkins’ genuine concern for the parties’ daughter’s safety and security, especially when under the care of others and traveling across the country, and are reasonable protective measures, not an attempt to restrict Mr. Jenkins’ access to their daughter.”
He filed fresh documents alleging she was preventing him from regularly visiting Monaco at the same time that Jeannie filed her answer to Jeezy’s divorce suit, seemingly hinting that he may have cheated and that it would have ramifications under their prenuptial agreement.
As we previously stated, Jeannie is calling BS on that and is requesting that the judge simply send them to mediation so they can resolve their differences amicably, stating that she believes they are good candidates for that alternative rather than holding a hearing for interim custody.
Together, Jeezy and Jeannie are parents to just one kid, which they welcomed in the beginning of 2022.
