Dakota Johnson gained a new talent.

As the Coldplay music video for “Cry Cry Cry” premiered on Friday, the Fifty Shades of Grey actress, 30, made her directorial debut alongside Cory Bailey. Since Johnson filmed the romantic video with her band frontman boyfriend Chris Martin, the Valentine’s Day release is even more suitable.

Martin, 42, sings, “Don’t want us to hurt each other / Or cause each other pain / Don’t want to fear what we don’t know / We’re in this together, baby / We’re as singing is to rain,” as couples dance intricately.

The actress, daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, has wanted to go behind the camera for a while.

The actress launched TeaTime Pictures, a production firm she co-founded, this week to create “refined, elevated, thought-provoking content across all genres.”

Update soon. ️Johnson and Martin were photographed on a sushi date in Los Angeles in October 2017, sparking dating speculations. The fairly quiet couple has maintained their relationship since, with insiders telling PEOPLE they are “pretty serious.”

“They are very low-key together,” the insider added in April. “… They seem to like quiet living. It appears they’re getting serious.”

Last month, Martin’s ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow told Harper’s Bazaar, “I just adore her.” They have two children, Apple, 15, and Moses, 13.

I adore her. It’s unusual, so I can see how it would seem bizarre, she added. “Having gone through it iteratively, I love her. I usually think of the ampersand sign—what else can you bring in instead of resisting or being insecure? Leaning into something like that is powerful.”
