Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson are doing well.

Last week, the couple was seen walking together. A source tells PEOPLE they are “pretty serious.”

“Dakota has been filming out of state, but most weekends she comes back to Malibu to spend time with Chris,” the insider claims in Friday’s issue. “They are low-key together. They rarely go out and usually have friends over.”

Johnson, 29, and Martin, 42, were spotted eating sushi in Los Angeles in mid-October 2017, sparking relationship speculations.

Chris lives in Malibu and Dakota loves hanging out there, a source told PEOPLE. They rarely out to supper with friends, but usually host them over. Together, they walk the beach and neighborhood. They seem to like quiet living. It appears they’re getting serious.”

Last Thanksgiving, Johnson spent with Martin, his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow (who recently married Brad Falchuk), and their daughters Apple, 14, and Moses, 12. 

More than a month after a fake pregnancy story claimed the Fifty Shades actress and Coldplay frontman were expecting, November came. A Johnson rep confirmed the claim shortly after it surfaced.

A celebration at Martin’s house with pink and blue balloons sparked rumors that the pair was hosting a sex reveal party. But it was all a giant misunderstanding.

“It was my birthday, and there were pink and blue balloons, and so then I was pregnant,” Johnson told Ellen DeGeneres. I didn’t aware the balloons would be launched. There was an arch. That must have been inadvertent. Let go of one end.”
