Diddy turned down invitation to attend the 2024 Grammy Awards despite having first nomination in 20 years because busy hanging out with girlfriend

Diddy has denied an invitation to attend the 2024 Grammy Awards ceremony, despite garnering his first nomination in 20 years.

The Bad Boy boss last received a nomination for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group in 2004 for his collaboration with Murphy Lee and Nelly on the song “Shake Ya Tailfeather.” He won’t, however, be coming back to find out if The Love Album: Off the Grid takes home the Best Progressive R&B Album award.

A spokesman for the troubled media magnate reportedly informed The Hollywood Reporter that he will not be present at the ceremony on February 4.

All nominees are automatically invited to the ceremony, however Diddy will not be attending at all, joining other controversial musicians who have previously been nominated for Grammys, including Louis CK and Dr. Luke.

In a lawsuit brought against the rapper and producer, Diddy was accused of rаpe and sexuаl аssаult by his ex-girlfriend Cassie in December of last year, barely one week after the Grammy nominees were revealed.

The lawsuit was “amicably” resolved for an undisclosed sum the next day, but Puff angrily refuted the accusations.

Following Cassie’s case, Diddy has been the target of numerous further lawsuits alleging various sеx offenses from the early 1990s, all of which he refutes.

The 54-year-old has been the target of four lawsuits in all, one of which accuses Diddy, former Bad Boy CEO Harve Pierre, and a different guy of gаng-raping a lady when she was just 17 years old.

Diddy has only addressed the claims in one public statement, calling out those who have accused him of seeking a “quick payday.”

“ENOUGH IS ENOUGH,” he wrote in a social media posting. I have been sitting quietly for the past few weeks, seeing attempts to discredit me, my legacy, and my character.

I’ve been the target of horrifying accusations from people hoping to get rich quick. To be crystal clear, I did not do any of the horrible things that are being said. I’ll stand up for the trutҺ, my family, and my nаme.

According to earlier reports, the Recording Academy was in a “crisis” due to the Diddy incident, with many well-known invitees wishing to avoid him.

According to an individual who spoke to The Mirror, “some, including several high-profile African-American members, feаr that inviting him sends the wrong message to audiences and the charities it supports.” A number of publicists have requested that he not seat their performers next to him. It’s a logistical catastrophe.
