Following the settlement of her $30 million federal lawsuit with her ex-boyfriend Sean “Diddy” Combs, Cassie is getting ready to embark on a musical tour.
According to her former Ryan Leslie, she is starting a run of concerts and putting the controversy behind her.
The singer filed a lawsuit against Diddy last month, claiming that during the course of ten years, he repeatedly trafficked, raped, gave her drugs, and severely battered her.
But Diddy and Cassie, also known as Casandra Ventura, declared they had come to an understanding a day later. There was no disclosure of the terms in detail.
Diddy’s legal issues are far from ended; additional women have filed lawsuits against him; just week, one of them claimed Diddy was involved in a gang rape that occurred when she was only 17 years old.
Along with their love past, Leslie, a songwriter and music producer, has a professional relationship with Cassie and has written multiple songs for her.
According to him, ‘the last communication we had’ had something to do with the fact that’she’s obviously preparing a tour.’
The two went out in the middle of the 2000s and seem to be in communication to this day, even if they “mostly” chatted in 2017 during the time of “our mutual manager Ed Woods’s passing.”
Leslie was questioned by TMZ about if he ever thought Diddy was putting Cassie in danger when they were working together.
“I believe that was significantly more distant from our collaboration,” stated Leslie, who collaborated with Cassie on several tracks for Diddy’s Bad Boy label, such as her 2006 breakthrough smash “Me & U.”
Following the resolution with Cassie last month, Diddy was defended by attorney Benjamin Brafman to DailyMail.com.
“To be clear, accepting a lawsuit settlement—especially in 2023—does not imply an admission of guilt,” Brafman stated.
The lawyer went on, “Mr. Combs’ decision to settle the lawsuit does not in any way undermine his flat-out denial of the claims.” “He wishes Ms. Ventura the best and is happy that they were able to reach a mutual settlement.”
