Since then, of course, the band – Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Dave Farrell, Joe Hahn and Rob Bourdon – have confirmed that a proper announcement and Los Angeles fan event is happening on Thursday, September 5.\

But their fans are still keeping watch over everything, naturally, and right before the second 100-hour count-up (?) finished recently, a blurry blue and purple image appeared with one minute to spare. Then, according to Reddit, a brief audio snippet was played.
