Linkin Park’s New Single Rockets Into The Top 10 And Shows No Signs Of Slowing Down

Linkin Park’s “Heavy is the Crown” was released just a few weeks after the band reunited and officially kicked off the latest chapter of their time together. The song follows in the wake of the hugely successful “The Emptiness Machine,” which introduced new members and took the world by storm.

“Heavy is the Crown” is in its second week on a number of Billboard charts, though this frame reflects the tune’s first full tracking week of availability. Now that fans have had a complete seven-day period in which to buy and stream the cut, it soars on several lists, even bringing the band back to the highest tier on a few rankings.

Linkin Park’s new single bolts into the top 10 on a pair of U.S. charts this week. “Heavy is the Crown” rockets from No. 12 to the runner-up slot on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs tally, nearly adding to the group’s growing list of rulers. The same cut lifts from No. 14 to eighth place on the Hot Alternative Songs ranking.

Throughout their years as a globally dominant band, Linkin Park has managed half a dozen top 10s on the Hot Alternative Songs chart, which ranks the most-consumed alternative-only tracks in America. “Heavy is the Crown” marks their seventh trip to the loftiest tier on the hard rock streaming roster.

As it rises into the top 10 for the first time on those two charts, “Heavy is the Crown” also manages to take up space inside the competitive region on four other lists. The band’s most recent single reached the top 10 area upon its arrival last frame, and it’s still performing spectacularly well on all of them, even though it falls on more than one tally.
