JAY-Z, Swizz Beatz, Ludacris attended the “Spirit Of Life” gala night of the City Of Hope organization – which honored legendary music executive Lyor Cohen

HOV was at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood to honor Cohen, who was a big part of Def Jam’s rise and is now the global music boss of Google and YouTube.

He was sitting at a table with Swizz Beatz to his left and Jon “Big Jon” Platt, CEO of Sony Music Publishing, to his right. Jay-Z, Ludacris, Jermaine Dupri, and Diddy were all at the coronation of the 64-year-old man, focused on helping “City of Hope’s mission to improve research and cаncer and diabetes treatment in the United States.”

All of them have worked with Cohen over the years, for better or worse.

Chuck D of Public Enemy introduced Cohen, who then took the stage to receive the “Spirit of Life” award at the end of the three-hour event.

Born in New York to Israeli parents who moved there, he used the chance to talk about the cоnflict between Israel and Palestine and express shоck at the terrible things happening in the world.

‘We’re here to help get rid of cаncer. But wouldn’t it be great if we could get rid of hate too?

The 7th of October will always be remembered. After the speech, DJ Cassidy, who started out as Cohen’s intern at Def Jam, chose a great group of artists to play for 30 minutes.

A rapper and podcast host named “Drink Champs” Noreaga worked the crowd during a short break. He walked around and talked to people who had given money to the City of Hope. The best part was when he saw Jay-Z in the building and surrounded him. “Sаy something, Hov,” Noreaga asked. “I won’t do it,” Jay quickly replied. “Get off my face, dog” Everyone had a laugh.

Even though it was light outside all night, the weather always knew what was wrong. The City of Hope music, film, and entertainment business group has raised $4 million to help make cаncer treatment more fair for everyone.
