Now that Dead Sara has disbanded, the group’s lead singer Emily Armstrong has joined the iconic rock band Linkin Park.

Linkin Park announced last week that Emily would take on the role of lead singer, which originally was held by Chester Bennington until he committed suicide in 2017. Since being named Chester’s successor, general interest has increased in Emily, specifically her current net worth. As of this year, Emily is worth $1.5million, some of which was earned when she was with Dead Sara.

While she headed her band, Dead Sara, the rockers charged $500 to $700 per show in the United States before they broke up in late 2023.

Emily is making waves now that she’s with Linkin Park. She’s the newbie among the band’s surviving members Rob Bourdon, Brad Delson, Mike Shinoda, Dave Farrell, and Joe Hahn. Mike introduced the revamped Linkin Park’s new song, The Emptiness Machine, with Emily amid their live-streamed performance that announced her oncoming earlier this month.

The Emptiness Machine is the lead single from Linkin’ Park’s upcoming album, From Zero, which comes out on November 15. From Zero will be the first record they’ve dropped since 2017 when they released One More Light a few months before Chester’s death in July of that year.

After Linkin Park’s big reveal on X, comments from fans who couldn’t wait for their upcoming album flooded the platform. While several were elated that Linkin Park was making a comeback, they admitted that it would take time for them to adjust to Emily being in Chester’s spot.

“I have tears in my eyes.@linkinpark is f——- back. New album put Nov 15th too. It’s been so long. Will [definitely] take some getting used to with Emily as the new lead, but I’m sure she’ll do her best and honor Chester. F— man I’m crying. #LinkinPark,” one wrote on X.

While many were candid about missing Chester, they were more adamant about fellow fans not looking at Emily as a “replacement” but rather the “new chapter” in the music group’s journey.

“Loving it! Emily is a great fit, don’t care what anyone says! I’ve followed Linkin Park from the beginning, I was devastated when Chester left us,” another raved. “This new chapter of @linkinpark looks amazing, Emily you are killing it – Hearing these songs again is emotional.”

A second added: “You have to hand it to Emily, having to make a debut as a the front woman of one of the biggest bands of the last 30 years, and smashing it, let her flourish she’s not replacing Chester no one ever would, it’s a new era for Linkin park! Chester would’ve wanted this. #LinkinPark.”
