Linkin Park performed their new single ‘Heavy Is The Crown’ on November 2 during the opening ceremony of the 2024 League of Legends World Championship at the O2 Arena in London.

‘Heavy Is The Crown’ serves as the official anthem for the 2024 League of Legends World Championship and is the band’s first collaboration with Riot Games.

The band shared a snippet of the performance on their Instagram. While the performance currently has over a million views, some fans didn’t like how ‘soulless’ Emily Armstrong was. “To be honest, her stage presence was very low. Feels like she didn’t have enough energy,” a user commented under the post.

“I was really excited for LP to be presented in the ceremony but there was nothing special about it, they just played normally. Not even outfit matching any concept, poor effects, it was all so soulless,” another user wrote. One more user added: “Why does Emily look bored?”

Other scheduled performers included Ashnikko, Mars Atlas, and Tiffany Aris.

The single will be featured on Linkin Park’s upcoming album, ‘From Zero.’ The album is set to be released on November 15 via Warner and it’s the band’s first full-length project since 2017’s ‘One More Light.’ The 2017 album is the last record released before the passing of Chester Bennington.
