Mike Shinoda Gives Green Light For Linkin Park Tour With Blink-182

Seven years after Chester Bennington’s passing and the cancellation of the Blinkin Park tour, Mike Shinoda recently gave the green light to reunite with Blink-182 for a tour together.

Shinoda responded to a fan on Discord about the possibility of a tour with the pop-punk band. “Mike is Blinkin Park still possible?,” the fan asked. Shinoda replied, “We’re totally open to playing with Blink. Great guys. I talk to Mark [Hoppus] often—he’s hilarious.”

Blink-182 and Linkin Park were scheduled to play together in Welcome to Blinkin Park stadium shows in 2017. Blink later announced the cancellation of the co-headlining tour after the death of Chester Bennington.

Just a couple of months before the canceled tour, both bands appeared in a video together, titled ‘A First Date with Blink 182 & Linkin Park.’

Three months after Bennington’s passing, Blink-182 took to the stage with the rest of the members of Linkin Park to honor their friend under the title ‘Linkin Park and Friends.’ Now that Linkin Park reunited with their new singer Emily Armstrong, the only thing left is to hear back from Blink-182.
